Very tired as I have just started a new job and mentally there is a lot to take in, but wanted to post as I am in the habit of a daily blog whenever possible, so here is a picture I took last week when I had a lovely day just wandering around Harwich and smelling the sea. I also visited a great book shop I found tucked away down a tiny little narrow street, but will write about that another day.

Thanks for all the good wishes – first week is safely out of the way which is always the worst and this week is fairly quiet which is giving me the time to learn the systems etc. Everyone is very very friendly and helpful and welcoming and I think it is going to work out well.

Lovely photo. I’m going to the shore tomorrow, for the first time in months. Look forward to smelling the salt air.
Good luck with the job, Elaine! I’m sure you’ll be brilliant — your skills are so evident on this blog. -
Everyone seems to be posting pics of the sea and I haven’t seen the sea for far too long. I live near the Thames and cross over it every day to go to work, but itisn’t the same as the sea. Best wishes in your new job. The first week is always the most daunting. You’ve started with all the new school children, just wondering if you are going to have half-term with them as well? Wouldn’t that be great?

My very best wishes for the new job, Elaine, and hope it all feels less exhausting soon. Lovely pic of Harwich – reminds me I must get down to the beach with my camera again soon.

I’ve always found starting a new job to be mentally exhausting. Good luck, and I’m looking forward to reading about the bookstore.

Hope new job’s going well. Harwich looks more scenic than I imagined it did.
