RANDOM JOTTINGS

A blog about music, sports, theatre and rants

Yes folks the big 70 is getting closer. Last Saturday I was 68 and I wonder where the time has gone. From a twenty-something who decided she never wanted children as they were Yuk and so were nappies etc to the grandmother who is very glad she changed her mind, seems like yesterday.

OMG I am 68 – how did that happen!

I was the recipient of an Apple tv from Kathryn which will enable me to stream all sorts of lovely things, my techie neighbour came in to set it up this morning, though Apple instructions are a model of clarity, I spent my Cath Kidson voucher from Helen on all sorts of treats which are being beamed to me as I speak, another good friend is taking me to see the tennis at Queens later on in the summer and all round it has been a pretty good day. Went to Snape with another good friend who treated me to lunch and we wandered around just enjoying the sunshine and the fresh air.

Wonder what the next year will bring….

Have been ill, or would’ve sent greetings before now! You’re catching me up, girl, I’m just two years ahead of you having reached the seven-oh … but what the heck, it’s only a ruddy number!
Wonderful pressies – not heard of an Apple TV!

When my mum, at 90, told me she felt young inside I did not really understand her. I do now!

yes indeed…happy birthday from me as well! And didn’t the poet say: the best is yet to be?? As strange as I find it to be 65 years old, I must say life has improved with every passing year….

Sounds like you’ve had a lovely birthday. And I know just what you mean. I’m 56 but 25 seems like yesterday.
