Yes Novak is a gentleman and a great sportsman. Stunning rallies and superb play. What a day!

I could not watch the final last year as I knew Murray was going to lose. And he did. I was a nervous wreck. This year, though I did not say so in case I put the mockers on it, as soon as it started I knew he was going to do it. Again, don’t ask me why but he has changed so much in the last year and is now so mature and a much better player, all down to Ivan Lendl and it was gracious of Andy to dedicate his win to him who had never won Wimbledon.
A wonderful stunning day and nobody can quite believe it has happened!!

A happy day indeed! Well done Mr Murray! A worthy champion. And let us say what a super opponent Novak was, fighting to the last and composed and dignified in defeat. A wonderful match on a truly beautiful summer’s day.

I was thinking of all my Brit friends and cyber-friends, but especially you, Elaine, as we watched the final set. What a happy day for the UK!
