RANDOM JOTTINGS

A blog about music, sports, theatre and rants

Last day and before embarking on the tedious job of packing and trying to cram in the pottery I purchased (yes I know I need more like a hole in the head but it was lovely) took a walk this morning to my favourite cafe Petit Fours for a cup or two of cappacino with whipped cream and to purchase custard tarts to bring back to apartment. I have lost count o the number of these I have eaten since I have been here and have tracked down a recipe and intend to make them when I get home.

When I do I will post over on Random and the Great British Bake off. And speaking of the Bake Off, I am SO disappointed in Paul Hollywood. Middle aged man finds himself in the limelight and regarded as a sex symbol, rushes off to the USA and forms 'close friendship' with skinny American cook.   Honestly.   Talk about predictable……..

I have tracked down a recipe. I certainly do not have one myself and am going to have a go at them when I can

I brought a few back but they have all been scoffed. Good cold but think slightly warmed up they are even better. When I try them will post on my cooking blog.
Virginia – it is pouring with rain at the moment and I have the heating on but I am glad to be back home for a bit now. Love travelling but good to be quiet for a bit

Oh! Please post your recipe! I had one decades ago in a Portuguese market inToronto and having been trying to replicate it ever since…. Sigh… You have had some lovely adventures to start off 2013, haven’t you?
