That plate is part of an old 1920s set which I found at a jumble sale lurking in a box. Got plates, cups and saucers and a jug for about £5. One of these days must get them checked out to see if they are worth anything. I hae masses of bits and pieces of old china which I have collected over the years

Moomin is one of three cats who belong to my good neighbours, Alison and Gary. They are Moomin, Fraggle and Purdey but Moomin is the most regular visitor. She is a sweetie

I loved Cwm Rhonnda at the end of the service, too, Mary. Stirring stuff.
What lovely things you prepared for your lunch! And who let Moonin in? Is he a regular visitor to Random Towers?
Back with today, I loved the fly past … wonderful to see a Hurricane and Spitfires still up there!

Mary – I am watching ITV, not risking the Beeb again and glad I am that I missed Fiona!

Lovely pics – I too had a party – now left with masses of cake – little else – so it will be cake from now on!
Fiona has turned up Elaine! I didn’t hear you scream, but then I am in Cardiff! Wasn’t Cwm Rhonnda a wonderful ending to the service?
They (BBC) did a better job to today because they had James Naughtie but I was switching over to Sky now and then!

Looks lovely – and nice to see your bookshelves too!
For our street party I made melting moments from an old Be-Ro book, which I often make and always remind me of my great-grandmother, who often made them (and died when I was about 9, so I ate plenty of hers in my time!)
