The lovely diva Dame Joan Sutherland has died and I am so sad to hear this news. Have written over on Random Music about this lovely lady so do please take a look.

Sad news, indeed. I have a delightful photograph of Dame Sutherland with Pavarotti and someone else whose name I can’t, at the moment recollect (from the NY Times magazine section, I believe), somewhere in my collection of old clippings and photos. It used to hang on an office bulletin board years ago. Great photo. I still remember her pose. As I said, delightful. Her voice was remarkable, her zest for life memorable.
