These were taken at Keukenhoff near Amsterdam. I have plenty more pics of this simply stunningly beautiful gardens. The tulips all seemed about four foot high! I will post some more over the next week or so

Tulips are wonderful. I love them as, unlike a lot of flowers, daffs for example, they don’t have a back and a front, so no matter how you display them, they always look good.
These – which look like Queen of the Night or similar – I first saw at Sissinghurst a few springs’ ago which brings to mind the new BBC4 series on Sissinghurst. I wonder if you have seen it, Elaine? Again, over-intrusive noise (one can hardly describe it as music) which was drumming out even when Adam Nicolson and Sarah Raven (or anyone else come to that!) were speaking. -
My all time favourite flower of the whole year! Beautiful picture!
