Magnificent Obsession – Helen Rappaport

Just nipping in today to flag up a talk I am going to at the Victoria & Albert tomorow evening. Helen Helen_Rappaport_2006AU5683_1_jpg_290x193_crop_q85Rappaport, whose wonderful book on Ekaterinburg moved me to tears, is discussing the death of Prince Albert and the effect it had, not just on Queen Victoria, but the whole country.   I am a total devotee of Queen Victoria and am so looking forward to this.

I have put a link into the V&A site so if any of you are around tomorrow evening and can drop by then I think it will be a wonderful evening.

    Lynne – it was wonderful. I looked out for you but did not see you at all so sorry I missed you. I thought it was a terrific lecture and am now half way through the book and loving it

    Saw you there Elaine but I was busy taking some photos for Helen and you had dashed off before I had the chance to say ‘Hi’ but it was a great evening wasn’t it!
